Last-stage sulfur condenser is one of critical equipment in sulfur recovery unit, limit to patented technology and domestic production technology, last-stage sulfur condenser need to import. The main developing direction of units is high-parameter and large-scale and the parameter of last-stage sulfur condenser is close to the boundaries of conventional design standards and difficult to design and manufacture. Meanwhile, the process gas component complex and harsh corrosive environments, leading to the Last-stage sulfur condenser corrosion failure. Aiming at operating condition of high-parameters and large-scale Last-stage sulfur condenser, the failure analysis, theoretical analysis, finite element analysis and prototype test are carried out, and the structure of tubesheet and tube to tubesheet joint can be determined and optimized. According to the corrosive environment of the sulfur recovery unit, the pressure part of materials should be selected by extensive corrosion test. Finally, the manufacturing process and testing methods for large-scale study of the heat exchanger is study and guidance for high-parameters and large-scale Last-stage sulfur condenser.
