Micro electrochemical machining integrates the advantage of the special processing technology and fine processing technology, and it can solve the traditional machining m ethods can not be achieved or difficult to achieve fine metallic materials difficult to ma chine parts (or structure) of manufacturing problems. It has become the important resera ch of the Non-traditional Machining Technology and the Micro-fabrication Technology. A iming at micro electrochemical machining equipment is scarce and a small amount of m icro electrochemical machining system components has poor visual input of information and the problems of process complex, and proposing a kind of using three-dimensional entity input. The main research contents are as follows.Firstly, this paper has adopted the development tools in Visual Basic for the second ary development of SolidWorks. By calling the SolidWorks API functions, the establish ment of a part geometry information extraction and preservation of function modules to achieve the interconnection of the3D micro electrochemical machining parts modeling a nd process planning subsystem. Using SolidWorks API development of the3D informati on input and storage subsystem, can realize the automatically extracted from the process ing components of the three-dimensional entity modeling and micro electrochemical mac hining required geometric information, and establish the information communication betw een the micro ECM system design module and the process interconnection module.Then on this basis, according to the characteristics of the processing object structur e type diversity, through Visual Basic research and development of micro electrolysis pr ocess subsystem of milling process, the key is based on layered milling processing rout e of trajectory planning automatically. Process planning system software is mainly comp osed of three parts that machining parameter setting, trajectory generation and display. E ach module technology subsystems were carried out detailed studies in this paper. For s imple shapes and complex shape parts, respectively ring line milling and cutting milling method is used to generate machining track. Through process planning subsystem can r ealize of the layered milling micro electrochemical machining process planning and prod uce processing technological parameters needed for the file, so as to realize the design of micro electrochemical machining information to process information. Finally, based on the LabWindows/CVI environment, called motion control function, realize the micro ele ctrochemical milling.Based on the software system of integrated process experiments show that:in view of the existing micro electrochemical machining machine tool developed by micro elect rochemical machining machine tool based on3D entity input software system, can mee t the requirements of microminiature micro electrochemical machining of metal parts.
