Esearch And Application Of MES Inventory Management For Cold Rolling Process In Iron And Steel Enterprise

As an important part in the iron and steel enterprise informatization architecture, MES conduct overall management mainly for job planning, quality, production, equipment, inventory, material flow on plant level.As an importmant function module in MES,inventory management manage materials and their related information,get necessary information from the other modules of MES,reach automatic and refined inventory management.At the same time,inventory management can provide material’s inventory information for other external system,ensure smooth operation of production and business activities.This paper on the basic of the MES platform which a certain iron and steel enterprise introduced,in the background of developing and implementing suitable MES for the enterprise itself, tightly combine existing SAP,sales and shipping system,transportation system,PCS,etc,design and implement a MES inventory management which meet the inventory management’s demand of the enterprise’s cold rolling process,the main research works are as follows:Firstly,on the basic of knowing MES and its basic function module in iron and steel enterprise,analyse MES solutions in domestic iron and steel enterprises,and further research inventory management related contents.Secondly,in the background of cold rolling process of a certain iron and steel enterprise,conduct function and performance analysis for its inventory management business.Thirdly,on the basic of the inventory management’s standard functions in MES platform,according to actual production and management situation of the certain iron and steel enterprise,design each business function process,inventory layout,database and system interface of the module involved,at the same time,implement a suitable inventory management module for the enterprise’s cold rolling process.The module covers all business functions from raw material inventory,middle inventory,output inventory to sales inventory,and implement information sharing and seamless integration with other function modules of MES and other external systems.Fourthly,as a MES sub-function module,apply the inventory management module to the enterprise’s actual manufacturing process,conduct function and performance test. The actual application effect indicate that the inventory management satisfied the business requirement of the enterpris’s inventory management.realized refined and intelligent inventory management for the enterprise, and bring about a certain degree of economic benefits.
