Coal tar contains polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and heterocyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and other organic matter, in the coal tar processing these organic matter will be discharged in different forms, most aromatic hydrocarbons are carcinogenic, impact on humans and the environment seriously. According to this, it was necessary to analyze the pollutions produced in coal tar processing and give the corresponding control measures. We look a typical production processes Energy Ltd. Xinyuan coal tar processing project as the example, analyze the emissions of coal tar processing,which have great harm to the environment are the asphalt smoke and pollution is wastewater, therefore, the main research is for these pollution control measures.There are many control measures to choose from to control asphalt fume currently, but asphalt smoke control technology for coal tar generated during processing is not mature, it’s can not meet the national emission standards, this paper compares different governance measures, and on-site investigation and processing of coal tar pitch fumes status of corporate governance, the asphalt smoke produced by process choose the vacuum suction and wash oil spray as pretreatment, asphalt fume concentrations dropped significantly after pretreatment, but still can not meet emissions requirements, therefore, we design a low concentration of asphalt smoke governance program, we choose the adsorption method, use the calcined coke as adsorbent, to ensure continuous adsorption of adsorbent, add to calcined coke regeneration system, determine the relevant parameters of adsorption and regeneration, by theoretical calculations, we reach conclusion that asphalt fume concentrations decreased to40mg/m3below after treatment, emission rate of0.3kg/h or less, after20m high exhaust can discharge standards; about phenolic wastewater treatment measures there are a lot of research and application, however, for high concentrations of phenol and a small amount of wastewater, there are no suitable alternative control measures, meanwhile phenolic wastewater can be as low biochemistry degree, this improves the difficulty of phenol wastewater treatment, in this paper, we generated a program for phenolic wastewater that oil, extracted phenol removal, water quality and quantity regulation and SBR series approach combining design, and design the operation parameters of each device, by analyzing the results we draw that using the program phenolic wastewater treatment effluent quality in the volatile phenols can be decreased to0.3mg/L or less, and the remaining water quality indicators have reached the return water requirements.
