| As the main material of highway construction, petroleum asphalt needs to go through a series of processes such as production, storage, transportation, mixing, paving and compaction. There will be unorganized emission of asphalt fume in the process. The composition of asphalt fume is complex, mainly including volatile organic compounds(VOCs),carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides and sulfides. These substances will not only lead to the decline of air quality, but also cause the surrounding human body to feel unwell, and long-term workers may cause respiratory diseases. In order to implement the“promoting green development and promoting harmonious coexistence between man and nature”mentioned in the“14th Five-Year plan”,the field of highway construction should pay attention to the emission and cleanliness of asphalt fume on the basis of ensuring road performance. In this paper,a three port flask was used to contain asphalt and an oil bath device with magnetic stirring was used for heating to ensure the air tightness of the device. When the specified conditions are met,a portable detector is connected to detect NO,SO2,H2S,CO and VOC in asphalt flue gas.Firstly, this paper explored the effects of four factors on these five gases:temperature, mixing, asphalt texture and sampling time. The results showed that the amount of gas produced by different texture of asphalt is different;Temperature and stirring speed up the movement of asphalt molecules, and the gas production will further increase; The fixation of sampling time can better ensure the repeatability of the experiment.Odorless environmental asphalt technology belongs to the new green environmental protection pavement technology and has a broad market prospect. This paper compared the emission of five kinds of gases of two kinds of Odorless Mix Additive using the experimental device, and evaluates their inhibition effect and road performance. The results showed that due to different components,BOMA can achieve good inhibition when the dosage is 0.3~0.5‰and the temperature is 160℃and below, while WOMA can achieve a stable or even better inhibition effect above 160℃under the same dosage. The device was used to evaluate the asphalt fume emission of SBS modified asphalt:the swelling phenomenon of SBS will occur in the process of dissolving in asphalt, which enlarges the distance between asphalt molecules, making it easier for small molecular substances to escape, and it has a positive effect on the emission of small molecular substances. After that, the gas emission effect of adding Odorless Mix Additive to SBS modified asphalt was explored.WOMA was well cross-linked with SBS in SBS modified asphalt, and the inhibition effect was better than that of directly adding matrix asphalt. In this paper, through several characterization methods, the possible components and action mechanism of“Odorless Mix Additive”were analyzed by group composition analysis, ash analysis,XRD diffraction,Infrared Spectroscopy(IR)and Thermogravimetric Analysis(TG).The results showed the organic components in the two“Odorless Mix Additive”play a major role in transforming the volatile components in asphalt into macromolecular substances.WOMA contains 40%inorganic components, which are used to prevent the small molecular substances in asphalt from contacting with oxygen,so as to reduce the emission of oxides. |
