With the wide application of Magnesium,Aluminum and its alloys,the cleaningof their surface has become more and more important,however,Magnesium,Aluminum and its alloys’ adsorption is strong,chemically active,ordinary cleaningagent leave plenty of residue,so,it is quite difficult to meet the cleaning raterequirements. Moreover,the traditional organic solvent cleaning agents have theshortcomings of flammable,toxic,and expensive. Therefore,the development of anormal atmospheric temperature,non-toxic,environmentally friendly,safe and highefficient water-based cleaning agent is particularly important.According to the test methods of water-based metal cleaning agents in JB/T4323.1-1999Republic of China Machinery Industry Standard,I finalized the formula.According to one of this test method,the test method of cleaning ability,I started twogroups of the cleaning test,single component and compound,to the chosensurfactant—AOS、OP-10、NP-10、S100and704,and screened4Azeolite、Sodiumpolyacrylate、Sodium citrate、Propanediol butyl ether,the additives,reference to thismethod,then I started a inhibitive performance test to the chosen corrosioninhibitor—CHB、LGZ、L190refer to the method of anti-rust property. The resultshows the most optimal combination of surfactant is the AOS and OP-10,the mostoptimal combination of additives is Sodium citrate and Propanediol butyl ether.UsingCHB and LGZ compound comes to best inhibition effect in Aluminum alloy cleaningagents,while using CHB alone and add a certain amount of it reaches the bestinhibition among Magnesium alloy cleaning agents. After the initial components ofthe selected recipe,I determined the optimum amount of every components in thecleaning agent by orthogonal test method,and determined the best recipe ofAluminum alloy water-based cleaning agent and Magnesium alloy water-basedcleaning agent,and tested the performance of chosen cleaning agent. Aluminum alloy cleaning agent is a light yellow transparent liquid,whichconsists of1.5%OP-10、0.8%Sodium citrate、0.15%Propanediol butyl ether、0.6%AOS、0.3%LGZ and0.2%Sodium silicate,under normal temperatureconditions,the cleaning rate can be96%~98%with no corrosion on the workpiece tobe washed,with the inhibition efficiency can arrive around95%.Magnesium alloy cleaning agent is a light ivory-white transparent liquid,whichis composed of1.5%OP-10、0.8%Sodium citrate、0.15%Propanediol butyl ether、0.5%AOS、and1.6%Sodium silicate. It plays a significant role in emulsifying anddispersing oil contamination under normal temperature,its cleaning rate can reach96%~98%,with the high inhibition efficiency of99%.Both of the water-based cleaning agent mentioned above reach a high cleaningrate under normal temperature,either of them can be a good alternative to organicsolvent-based cleaning agent. They make no corrosion to metal,and the preparation ofusing is convenient,they are also nonflammable,inexplosive,safe and nontoxic.
