Mannequin is the alternative of the human-body, reflecting the characteristics of the body. And it is used as the carrier, which include the apparel draping design, garment production and processing, post quality assessment, and virtual fitting. Through the parametric design of the human body features, parametric modeling can utilize parameter constraints and driving principle, and quickly achieve serialization and personalized mannequin.The research found for mannequin enterprises:it requires to modify repeatedly mold with experience to get a ideal lower-body mannequins, which resulted development cycle long and resources waste. In the current technological situation, enterprise developers use three-dimensional modeling methods, realize quickly the required digital mannequin with introduction of parametric technology, and carry out something such as product design, virtual dressing and clothing CAD development. It shorten the development cycle of mannequins, save costs, and has great practical value. Therefore, the subject made the research about parameterized mannequin with bottoms design by analyzing the characteristics of human body, combined with surface modeling technology.The research of paper includes the following three parts:(1) Research and analysis of the lower-body mannequin. In the form of questionnaires and interviews, application situation is researched and it is clearly that the research of the lower-body is not mature. The lower-body mannequin in the market is now in a gradual awareness, identity importance stage.(2) Parameters extraction and parameterized modeling based on the characteristics of waist and hip. This paper firstly analyzed the internal structure and morphological of the waist and hip and summarized three-dimensional scanning data. Based on these, characteristic parameters were extracted, which reflects the buttock shape. And then using parameters spline curve that passed characteristic points to fit the characteristic line, parameterized mannequin for lower-body designing was constructed.(3) The realized way of parameterized mannequin was studied based on UG second development. Using unigraphics secondary development tools,3D digitizing mannequin was realized with the grip language, by the way of point to the line, line to face.
