In this paper, regarding brewing wastewater from Golden Seed winery in Anhuiprovince as a research object,through research and analysis of a large number ofdomestic and foreign literature, the theory and development of anaerobic biologicaltreatment technology,the basic structure and the working principle of IC reactor werediscussed briefly.The productive start-up and running characteristics of IC reactorinoculated with high-temperature sludge was mainly studied, and acidificationphenomenon which was prone to happening in anaerobic biological process for thepurpose of methane-producing was focused on especially.The major conclusionsobtained were listed as follows:(1) According to the tests,inside circulation could be found to affect theefficiency of COD removal significantly,through Small-scale tests and Pilot-scaletests,the influences of the height of the reactor chamber,gas production rate,thetemperature,the riser pipe and the reflux ratio of cross-sectional area on insidecirculation were studied systematically.(2) Pilot IC reactor inoculated with high-temperature sludge could be started upsuccessfully under mesophilic condition, achieving volume loading of10~15kgCOD/(m3d),but the start-up lasted135days. when the start-up was finished,the efficiency of COD removal of one stage and two stage IC anaerobic reactorreached85%and80%separately, the pH and COD in effluent stabilized at around7.0and1000~1500mg/L,and a small amount of granular sludge was discovered in theanaerobic sludge samples of the reactor.(3) During normal operation,while maintaining the existing operatingconditions, the test increased influent flow for7days, the reactor began to appear"acidification phenomenon",the VFA in effluent increased dramatically to34.3mmol/L or even higher,the efficiency of COD removal of one stage and two stageIC anaerobic reactor had escalated continuously, reached20000mg/L and5000mg/Lseparately,the pH of effluent stabilized at around4.5,which needed prompt controlmeasure to avoid more serious acidification,which may made the reactor collapse.Tosolve the problem of acidification,the following measures were adopted: after the ICreactor had acidified,we took a lot of measures such as reduced influent promptly,added fresh sludge, extended the outer loop running time and so on. After17days of regulation, the condition of IC anaerobic reactor recovered to normal status.
