China is the world’s largest producer and consumer of building materials. Energy uses inthe cement industry accounted for70%of the energy consumption of the building materialsindustry. Therefore saving cement production enterprises have a vital role. Just an ordinarycement rotary kiln thermal efficiency of30%, advanced suspension preheater kiln is only50%.So the use of rotary kiln waste heat recovery energy is saving both.Study of this subject we must first understand the rotary kiln process. Based on themeasured data typical domestic dry cement rotary kiln surface temperature, analyze cementrotary kiln shell surface temperature distribution characteristics. Then, we can analyze theexisting domestic cement rotary kiln shell surface heat recovery unit, and construct in theform of comparative analysis, operating results and problems of a variety of factors,utilization of waste heat recovery system operating characteristics, actual operating conditions.Through consolidate results of new Rotary kiln shell surface radiation in the form of wasteheat recovery, determine the heat recovery program to the radiation of rotary kiln. Combinethe theoretical analysis and experimental, to study the surface of rotary kiln waste heatrecovery.Simulation experiments were rotary kiln waste heat recovery surface heating usingelectric heating tube system of the steel cylinder, the surface temperature of the cylindricalbody350℃, analog rotary kiln surfaces. Use brass welding arc-shaped copper radiation heattransfer device, and laid in a certain distance from the cylinder was radiant heat cylindersurface to simulate radiation recovery, given the receiving cylinder surface. In two sets of coilheat exchanger, copper or without external insulation, four coil heat exchanger three differentconditions, the heat transfer device is connected to the tank. and then the three conditionswere set at15℃,28℃,40℃three different water temperature, by adjusting the valveopening degree, adjust the different water flow. The water temperature was measured at threekinds of conditions. Calculated under different conditions cylinder surface water heatabsorption, heat release and cylinder surface heat recovery efficiency.By the experiment it can be seen, when the initial temperature is15℃, the use of twoadditional heat exchanger coil when the heat insulation layer is the most efficient manner. Itcan reach to67%. With the initial water temperature, the heat transfer efficiency decreases,which is due to the temperature rise copper radiation of heat to the cylinder is increased. Theheat absorption of the water itself is reduced, decreased temperature difference between inletand outlet, reduces the efficiency. When using four heat exchanger coil, while the surface area of the cylinder into the original radiation twice. But the loss becomes large, and thetemperature difference between the inlet and outlet cannot be increased to twice the original.So it cannot maintain the efficiency of the two groups of coils efficiency, reducing efficiency.Compared with the use of two heat exchanger coil, the coil can be increased four inlet andoutlet temperature difference.By the experiment it can be seen, the method for recovering the use of the rotary kiln isfeasible, relatively high recovery efficiency. In a real project, you can water flow and watertemperature as required to meet the design requirements of the waste heat recovery unitaccording to the actual situation.
