Cultural Landscape, Literature, Architecture And Aesthetics Garden

This article compares classical private gardens of scholar bureaucrat with contemporary residential gardens by the way of synthetically comparing. Putting contemporary residential gardens into its pretty background of contemporary cultural and art to have a best point to develop the theory of garden design, the study develops with the three level of relationship between gardens with social cultural, literature and art, guiding current fast-developing residential garden building and realizing its proper social function and cultural effect.First, as cultural products, gardens are also products of certain social culture, reflect social cultural status of corresponding period and have an effect on social culture. Ancient scholar bureaucrat culture acts as essential culture that takes up the position of social leading culture to maintain the stable evolution of social culture effectively; In the same time, private gardens of bureaucrats effects public culture as a culture product, realizing its social function. Today, different from ancient time, essential culture in China loses its dominant status and fades out; while gardens play a more important role in public culture than any time before and are expected to contributes more to the society. The first part of this article analysis the social cultural function of ancient gardens and contemporary gardens in the view of culture typology and try to describe the gardens culture which is fit for contemporary social situation.Artistic achievement is also not isolated from its corresponding culture background. China's traditional culture makes high achievements in literature, fine arts and other areas the same as gardens. So, surveying culture art with its relevant social condition in an integral way, we can find out that the art value of gardens exactly. In the second part, putting the ancient gardens into its relevant culture background, the article compares it with literature, especially the poem transversely, in a view of building up artistic conception, analysis art significance of ancient gardens of scholar bureaucrat in a father degree of depth, guided by modern aesthetic psychology, and find out points which can be used for contemporary residential gardens for reference and guidance.Putting the theory into practice is the best way to verify the theory. Based on preceding part and starting with China landscape painting art that has more similarity with gardens, the third part of this article aimed at landscape layout of gardens.
