Research On Traffic Security Measures Of Urbanization Road

With the process of urbanization in China, the function of urbanization road has beenmore and more highlighted. The development of urbanization road may facilitate thecommunication between towns, and has essential effect on local economic. Urbanization roadalong towns or villages has been one of the most important roads and economic zones. Trafficaccidents took place in the flourishing urbanization roads besides economical benefits.Analyzing the influence factors and mechanism, one of the main causes of the roadtraffic accident is the complex road side environment. Aimed at the reason, this paperintroduced safety evaluation of road side, through the calculation and analysis various designindex (horizontal curve variables, longitudinal slope variables, average daily traffic,vanproportion, road side accident numbers etc) to determine the weight of each variable andestablish the safety evaluation model of urbanization road side. This paper also introduces theroad side safety design concept of tolerance, flexible and coordination for the main elementsand the main safety design method considering each safety influencing factor. In addition, thispaper targets the speed limits research, puts forward the reasonable speed limit measures andintegrated measures are offered for roadside safety.
