Asphalt distributor is a major equipment in black road, and it is one of the majorequipment in the construction of highways, urban roads, airports and port docks. Itworks by spraying high temperature liquid asphalt which is pressurized by asphalt pumpthrough the nozzle to the road, so as to construct or conserve asphalt pavement. Logisticsdevelopes increasingly and the proportion of car transport improves day by day.It isnecessary to introduce new technology and new materials,as well as improving thequality of construction, so as to adopt the new demand of quality of roads. These providea higher demand for the application of asphalt distributor. The electrical, hydraulic andpneumatic control technology are used in asphalt distributor in Almost allmanufacturers.Intelligent asphalt distributor is produced in response to market demand,and the accuracy of asphalt spreaders amount is strictly controlled. According to the twoaspects of impacting asphalt spreaders uniformity, this paper designs the sisterm of pumpcontroling motor to improve asphalt distributor longitudinal uniformity,and peforming thesimulation of asphalt nozzle flow to improve sphalt distributor transverse uniformity Thisarticle aims to provide a theoretical basis for intelligent asphalt distributor technologicalinnovation and improving the accuracy of the spreaders. Primary studies are:(1) The main factors that affect the asphalt distributor accuracy are analyzed and thepaper points out that the asphalt spray volume whether adjusting with the speed of theasphalt distributor automatically or not in order to make the receiving amount of the roadremaining constant is one of the key of the quality of spreader. The work process ofasphalt distributor is mainly done by the motor which is controlled hydraulic pump, sothe hydraulic system of asphalt distributor will directly affect the longitudinal uniformityof the amount of asphalt distributor.The closed pump controlling motor hydraulic systemfor intelligent asphalt distributor is designed, according to the functional requirements ofthe asphalt distributor and referring to the information at home and abroad.Also, thehydraulic elements such as variable pump, motor and all kinds of hydraulic valves arecalculated for Selection.(2) To formulate the amount asphalt needing to adjust to the speed of asphalt distributor, that is, spray volume increasing while the speed becoming fast and sprayvolume decreasing while the speed becoming slow, the PID controller is designed on thebasis of the mathematical modeling of the hydraulic system.The PID controller is provedto meet the performance requirements through MATLAB simulation and practicalapplication.(3) Through the analysis of the effect of spray rod,nozzle structure,spray height,the mounting angle of the nozzle for the quality of spreaders,the paper points out that thequality of the three overlapping sprinkle spray has a direct impact on the accuracy ofhorizontal spreaders.Therefore, the structure of the nozzle and the flow field aresimulated and analyzed.Firstly, three-dimensional physical design of the spray rod andthe nozzle are established by the SolidWorks software.Then, the solid model istransferred to ANSYS Fluent software for simulation and analysis. The jet velocity curveand the velocity cloud images of the nozzle and the speed of flow lines are obtained andthe regularity of nozzles spraying is also obtained.These provide theoretical basis forimproving the spreaders uniformity.
