Cement-based lightweight thermal insulation materials can be defined as thethermal insulation materials whose cementing material is cement that can be preparedthrough physical or chemical method. In those materials, foam concrete is graduallygetting more and more attention for its good performance of light weight, thermalinsulation, anti-seismic and so on. These years, the urban construction waste isincreasing year by year in our country, in order to make full use of these waste, thisthesis mainly discuss how to produce foam concrete using cement and constructionwaste. Usually, cementing material of foam concrete is special cement. For the highprice, poor durability and other performance of the special cement, this thesis mainlydiscuss how to produce foam concrete using ordinary portland cement and constructionwaste.First, the composition, mechanical properties and thermal performance oflightweight foam concrete are discussed. The basic composition is got from experimentwhich including cement, construction waste, early strength agent, super plasticizer,foam, water solid ratio and so on. And the effect of these parts on the strength of foamconcrete are also analyzed. Then, the impact curves of these parts on the strength offoam concrete are obtained, the reasons why result this are also analyzed and the rangeof these parts is also got. In order to reduce the content of foam, polystyrene foamparticles are selected, but they have poor influence on the strength of foam concrete.Besides, absorption and porosity are also analyzed, and the relationship betweenabsorption and porosity and strength and between absorption and porosity are alsodiscussed. Then,the way how to reduce the absorption is researched. Besides, theBalshin model and Powers model are selected to predict the28d strength of foamconcrete, the formulate are fitted using Matlab, the results of the two models arecompared, finally, the way to predict the strength of foam concrete is also provided.In the part of ultra-lightweight foam concrete, only composition and mechanicalproperties are discussed. According to the experiment, the conclusions are got that thecoagulant is necessary in the composition of the ultra-lightweight foam concretecomparing to the component of lightweight foam concrete, the reason why thecoagulant is needed is also analyzed. Besides, the effect of water solid ratio on thestrength of ultra-lightweight foam concrete is analyzed and getting a reasonable range of water solid ratio. Finally, the way how to improve the strength of ultra-lightweight foamconcrete is discussed, and the reasonable range of reinforcing agent M is got, theinfluence of reinforcing agent M on the absorption and porosity of ultra-lightweightfoam concrete are also discussed.
