Theoretical Research On The Planning And Construction Of The Urban Wetland Parks

Urban wetland is an important part of urban ecosystem. Urban wetlands have a lot offunctions, such as accumulation of water, flood control and drought relief, deposition ofnutrients, regulate the microclimate of the region, to maintain biological diversity and so on.Wetland is also cultural heritage, with a great landscape value and scientific value. However, withthe rapid economic and social development and urbanization, in many cities, wetlands are causedheavy degradation. Many urban wetland gradually engulfed by urban construction land, andwetland ecological environment were destroyed, it lead to deterioration of water quality ofwetland, and diversity reduction of animals and plants species. Demolition or renovation oftraditional architecture in the wetland, result in the traditional culture of the wetland wasdisappearing. In order to curb urban wetland recession, our government has proposed theconstruction of urban wetland park. Urban wetland park to a certain extent to solve the problemof wetland conservation, development and utilization. We can take full advantage of the beautifulecological environment of the city wetland, to stop damaging the wetland ecological functions.Development of function integration wetlands propagandism and play to raise awareness of theimportance of urban wetland and earth environmental protection, so that the urban wetland obtaingood social benefits, while also get certain economic benefits for the better maintenance ofwetland ecological environment, and forming “beautiful ecological environment——to attractrecreational activities——to achieve social and economic benefits——to devote ecologicalprotection” benign mode.As a new wetland conservation measures, most of design and construction of wetland parkis still in disorder, there is no fixed pattern. The theory and technique on wetland ecosystemprotection or restoration based on wetland park construction are lacking. In consideration of theimportance of wetland ecosystem value, we need to propose a method of guidance for wetlanddesign from the view of the protection of wetland ecosystem. Wetlands have a complex structureand function, and different wetland types and environmental conditions, the value of the wetlandpark is also different, so the designing scheme would be quite different.This paper first explained wetland park and related concepts, functions and ecologicalcharacteristics, then summed up the theory on urban wetland park planning and construction aswell as management. On this basis, summed up the current development of urban wetland parkand urban wetland park design principles. In addition, function division, the waterfront and roaddesign, selection of plants and ecological restoration design were discussed by means of surveyand research about specific example. Summarized the method and principle of urban wetlandpark management on the basis of the traditional park management. Finally, in accordance withthe different wetland functions combined with some successful cases to discuss and summarize.
