| The use of Chinese traditional wall materials of clay solid brick has a longhistory, which has been destroying crops, cultivating land in the production process, consuming resources and energy, at the same time the brick produced irreversibledamage to the environment. From the beginning of2003, the government releasedfiles that banned the produce and use of solid clay brick. The country’s energy-savingbuilding wall materials innovation policy promoted our country’s new wall material’sdevelopment. At present, the most widely used wall materials are hollow bricks, aeratedconcrete blocks and lightweight aggregate concrete block. This article used themethod of life cycle assessment, to evaluate hollow bricks, aerated concrete block andlight aggregate concrete block environmental impact, the life cycle inventories forthree kinds of wall materials production were established, also analyzed and assessedresource consumption and environmental emission on the basis of life cycle inventory. The results show that CO2is the largest emission of pollutants for the brick, CO2emission is0.129kg; The main affection of the hollow bricks were GWP, ADP and AP,the critical point has been found in GWP, ADP and AP, which were24.45%ã€23.14%and18.16%in the system; Hollow brick pollutants mainly direct emissions from coalburning brick process, hollow brick life cycle process, the largest contribution to theimpact on the environment is brick process, which accounts for72.86%of hollowbrick life cycle environmental impact. The results show that CO2is the largestemission of pollutants for the aerated concrete block, CO2emission is290kg/m3; Themain affection of the aerated concrete block were GWP, AP and POCP, the criticalpoint has been found in GWP, AP and POCP, which were42.96%,25.15%and10.70%in the system; Aerated concrete block in the process of the life cycle, the largestimpact on the environment is raw material of lime and cement production process, which accounts69.66%and25.88%of aerated concrete block life cycleenvironmental impact.; The results show that CO2is the largest emission of pollutantsfor the aerated concrete block, CO2emission is156kg/m3; The main affection of theaerated concrete block were AP, GWP and ADP, which accounts for29.61%,5.04%and17.45%of the total environment impact; In the life cycle of light aggregateconcrete block, the largest impact on the environment result from raw material of cement production and concrete production, which accounts41.76%å’Œ22.89%oflightweight aggregate concrete block life cycle environmental impact. The results show that four kinds of wall materials which have the same insulationeffect, clay solid brick have the largest environmental impact, followed by hollowbrick, and the light aggregate concrete block, the aerated concrete block has thesmallest effect. |
