In recent years, with the raising consciousness on the conservation of naturalresources and environment, water hydrostatic transmission technology arouse people’sattention again. Motor, as an important executive component in the hydraulic transmissiontechnology, will become the main topic of future’s research and development. But now, most achievements of water hydraulic motor concentrate on the high-speed motor, suah asaxial piston motor and vane motor, while in low-speed high-torque motor, it’s almost ablank. This paper makes a study of radial piston water hydraulic motor with multiplefunction curve, which belongs to the low-speed high-torque motor. Piston pairs andflow-distributing pairs are crucial function pairs in motor, the operating conditions of themdirectly determine the performance of the motor. The main topis of this paper is to analyzeboth the stress state of the piston pair and the flow field in the flow-distributing pair.Firstly, we calculate and analyze the stress state in both the ways of Matlabcalculations and ANSYS stastic analysis, then make comparatively analysis with the tworesults; Secondly, which is the core part of my research, is to analyze the whole flow fieldinside the motor through Dynamic Mesh of Fluent. We used to analyze the flow field in astatical way. However, considering the movement of the motor, the traditional method isinaccurate. So I choose dynamic analysis method to stimulate the leakage, pressure andvelocity of flow-distributing pair while the motor is running. Then study the effect thatwater film thickness and operating condition on these physical quantities and the bestwater film thickness and the optimum operating condition can be obtained. Finally, weimprove the structure of the valve plate according to the problem of pressure impact andoscillation revealed in the dynamic stimulation, thereby, improve the performance of themotor.
