| Concrete is one of the widely used structural materials and its application is ranged of nuclear powerplants, dams, offshore oil platforms, bridges and buildings, railway sleeper and so on. For a long time, experts focus on the static mechanics performance, and its study to determine the parameters applied to thestructure design. However, in the real life, the concrete is inevitably subject to dynamic loads, moreover thedynamic performance plays a decisive role for the security and stability of the structure to some extent. Therefore, knowing and understanding the dynamic load deformation characteristics of concrete andmechanical characteristics is the premise and the foundation to ensure the safety of concrete and thecomprehensive analysis of concrete structure. Abrams discovered rate sensitivity of concrete in1917, Sincethen, domestic and foreign scholars also have conducted the research to the concrete dynamic characteristic. However, due to the different methods and environmental impact, the test data comparability is not high, even there is a greater difference in conclusions. Therefore it is absolutely necessary to carry out furtherexploration. In this article, the research methods and the summary of the results of our predecessors and against thecurrent situation of widely used normal strength concrete, we have used MTS testing machine to test theC30, C35, C40, C45four dynamic uniaxial tensile strength of concrete test. The rate of strain is10-5/s,10-4/s,10-3/s and10-2/s. In the experiment the data achievement which is obtained under the10-5/s speeddraws up the static condition, and as rates are compared on the basis of experimental data. This article make full description of the questions, which comes from laboratory equipment, testmethod and experimental process. Through the analysis of experimental data processing, it comes to thefollowing conclusion: with the increase in strain rate, the C30, C35, C40and C45four concrete, their tensilestrength, modulus of elasticity and of the strength of peak strain are all improved. The variations ofPoisson’s ratio is not obvious. At the same time, from this article, we have obtained the rigidity influencerules and the formula of the load strain rate to the concrete strength, stiffness and other technicalindicators by data fitting and regression analysis. |
