Buckling-restrained brace was used widely in the world after the Kobeearthquake in1995of Japan and the Northridge earthquake in1994of Amercia as animportant part of energy dissipation damping technology. The research,design andengineering application of buckling-restrained brace start ratively late in our country,but develop rapidly. Engineering application of buckling-restrained brace in anumber of important public architecture has accumulated a wealth of valuablepractical experience for our country in the engineering design, construction andresearch, While promoting the relevant standards.It restricts the popularization, application and improvement of buckling-restrained brace in China because ofstarting relatively later, less engineering application, simpler design standardTherefore, I discussed dissipative damping effect and additional damping ratio ofbuckling-restrained brace to support framework in this paper,as an new schoolbuildings as engineering background. And at the conclusion of the previous researchresults on the basis,I provide some rationalization proposal about design andconstruction.It compares the difference of buckling restrained brace and traditional brace, andexplains the domestic and foreign present situation, application status and theadvantages and disadvantages of structure system.Then it summarizes the previousresearch results to provide some constructive opinions in design and construction ofbuckling-restrained brace.On the other hand,it introduces the concept of structuraldamping ratio, and compares three kinds of model of the basic features. Itsummarizes the additional damping ratio of the energy dissipation structure finally.Onthe basis, four structure models were established and it adopts the modedecomposition response spectrum method, small earthquake, earthquake, earthquaketime-history analysis of law on the structure of the energy dissipation properties docomparative study on the basis of hypothesis of buckling restrained brace layoutremained the same, as the teaching building in new ecological city as the engineeringbackground.It introduces the four kinds of models and additional damping ratio theory,and then to moderate structures under the effect of interlayer displacement tends to be consistent with the principles of approximate determination of the structure of theadditional damping ratio.
