Performance based seismic design theory is to determine the performance object ofbuilding structure, which meet the expected seismic performance. Study of performanceis mostly about theoretical exploration, which can not be used in engineering design. And the researchers relevant multiple seismic design method about how to improve andguarantee the performance of structure. Do shaking table test and simulation analysisresearch about the different performance structure in order to verity the effectiveness ofthe performance design method.Thesis has carried on the shaking table test of two1/5scale reinforced concreteframe structure, which come from the conventional design and performance design of amiddle school building in Wenchuan. Structures of these two models are under theaction of three phases earthquake which are frequent earthquake、simulation main shockand simulation aftershock, a total of18cases. Shaking table test research is completedin dynamic characteristics、acceleration response、displacement response、torsionalresponse and so on. Experimental results show that two models structure meet theexpected performance object. Relative to the conventional design, performance designof the structureal seismic performance is improved. The finite element model is established by SAP2000,then model analysis andnonlinear time history analysis are carried out on the test model structure. Simulationresults are compared with shaking table test results on dynamic characteristics ofstructure、acceleration response and displacement response. Comparison results showthat using finite element software to analyse model response is viable. On this basis, analyse the response of the structure under main shocks and aftershocks. Researchshows that the influence of aftershocks is associated with the damage degree ofstructure and the intensity of aftershocks. The analysis shows that aftershocks increasethe damage of structure after the main shock. It can avoid the serious damage of thecolumn hinge to add small pieces wing wall, can effectively improve the seismicperformance of frame.
