With the development of socio-economic and scientific technology, enterprise’slevel of information is rising. As the exponential growth of knowledge, it is the majorproblem that how to find the necessary knowledge from vast amounts of knowledge.Although most of the computer-aided process planning system has the search function,the keyword-based retrieval is difficult to reflect the words semantic contact, resultingin a high false alarm rate and undetected rate. Especially in the field of technologyderived, process design is a work which involving wide range of experience andtechnology, make knowledge retrieval particularly important.In this paper, based on the process design of valve manufacturing, analyzes theproblems of knowledge reuse and sharing in the process, the valve product processderive design to elaborate process knowledge retrieval methods. Valve parts have simplestructure, high similarity process, the valve manufacturing typical process is theproduction experience of many years and valuable wealth. Process derived design is atypical process knowledge reuse process. In order to improve the efficiency of processknowledge retrieval, proposed composite parts based on feature similarity searchmethods to improve the process design of the valve manufacturing intelligence andstandardization, is conducive to empirical knowledge heritage.First, grasp the needs of design knowledge retrieval. Through a process designmethods research of valve manufacturing enterprise, familiar the valve process design,and analyzes valve product process planning problems. For the deficiencies and needsof business process design, summed valve process knowledge retrieval functions thatmust be met, and optimized the demand. Process derived design module including partscharacteristics libraries, composite components typical process library and processderived design subsystem.Then built the modeling of process knowledge retrieval, and key technologies.Describes the business blueprint of valve process knowledge retrieval, from the overallto have a comprehensive understanding of the process derive design. Valve processknowledge retrieval based on the parts feature library and composite parts typicaltechnology library, matching similar composite parts based on the characteristics of thenew parts, deriving new parts of the manufacturing process based on typical processautomatically. Finally describes portion of the code to achieve valve process knowledge retrievaland system applications. Introduces the code development and application of theprocess derive design mainly. Take DA51intake valve for an example to process derivedesign, proven technology of valve knowledge retrieval method is feasible. Valve CAPPSystem implementation and operation in the S corporation, and achieved good results.
