The damping control technology is one of the most representative andinnovative seismic technology of the last century. Rubber isolation system is away to achieve damping control, among them, the laminated rubber bearings inthe isolation structure is relatively mature. The isolation technology moreapplications in foreign countries, for domestic disaster prevention awareness isnot strong enough and the seismic isolation design technology is not widelyavailable, now the seismic isolation technology is still in the stage of promotion.Therefore, by study the difference in performance of the traditional seismicstructure and isolation structure has important theoretical significance andpractical value of the isolation technology promotion.This paper systematically introduced mechanical characteristics of seismicisolation devices and the isolation structure design method. By taking aframe-shear wall in district of9degrees as the research object, established anon-isolation structural scheme and two isolation structural schemes, comparedthe different seismic performances between non-isolation isolation scheme andisolation schemes through the dynamic time-history analysis. Verified that theisolation effects between the different isolation schemes, and finally determinedthe reasonable and effective isolation design scheme.The results of this study show that from the comparison of story shear, storydrift and acceleration performance of the isolation structure is better than theseismic structure, the damping effect was obvious. With rare earthquake, theseismic structural members serious damaged, complete failure of individualcomponents, and the good performance of isolation structures slight damage.Contrast two isolation scheme in district of9degrees and its super structureunder the seismic fortification intensity corresponding damping reaction found,the isolation structure not only to achieve the desired damping effect, but alsothe larger degree of surplus security. When the selected seismic waves adoptedin accordance with the isolation period is calculated, with respect to thecalculation results of the election in accordance with the seismic period wave, the story shear value of the seismic scheme tends to be smaller, however, theisolation scheme’s shear values trend to be larger, story shear ratio becomeslarger, which indicates that according to the isolation period to choose seismicwave was more unfavorable to the isolation structures. Through the comparisonof different isolation schemes found, isolation Option II is superior to Option I.
