As the rapid economic development of our country, speeding up the construction of the strong state power grid with centers on the extr-high-voltage electric network has great significance to achive the resources optimization allocation in a larger scope, promote the development of our country’s energy efficiency and sustainable economic and social development, and building a well-off society in an all-round way. EHV lattice tower as key parts of EHV transmission lines is the supporting structure of power lines, which sent a great amount of electric power to load centers. Full-scale tower test is the essential important means to verify the tower design rationality and guide tower structure optimization design. So the new design tower needs full-scale tower test.It is the first time100KV UHV AC transmission line has been used in China. To verify the validity of optimize, accureate of calculate and select material of’ZBSJ’tower in UHV AC test and pilot project, the full-scale tower tests are conducted.In this paper the full-scale tower tests of the new "ZEJS" tower is tested, ten different load cases are conducted to verify the reasonable and reliability of selected material and constructed joint in the normal design loading condition. The results show that:1) The tower head design is proofed to meet the requirements of code, however the tower leg is the weak points of tower and it destroyed in the test which shows that the design formulas in the code is not inconsistent with the test results;2) Joint structure design is one of the key points in tower design, in EHV tower design the main joint must be strictly design and optimization;3) Some of the tower member destroyed in the full-scale test which shows the importance of tower test.
