City Sports Park Planning And Design Research

With the rapid development of a city, city life is deviated from the goal of health which is the pursuit of the people. The higher degree of the city, the less place for outdoor activities of daily living. Sports theme park appears to fit the modern metropolis needs:It is mainly for people to do physical exercise and to articipate in sports games, in order to play a role in disease prevention and healing; It is organic combination of green space and movement, at the same time, but also to provide more fun participation in physical activity opportunities. City Sports Park not only provides the residents with physical exercise space, but also as a part of the city, at the same time City Sports Park play a decisive role in city’s construction. As a public open space, City Sports Park can coalesce around popularity, accelerate city regional development. City Sports Park is a theme park setting on a large area of green space providing stadium, culture and education building and service center for residents to take physical exercise, visit and rest or to hold athletic competitions. This paper aims to propose a reasonable design program and offer a practical plan method for City Sports Park.Through literature review and data collection, this article study on Munich Olympic Park, South Korea Seoul Olympic Park, Beijing Olympic Park and Shanghai Minhang sports park and other typical cases, and focuses on the analysis of design methods on park site selection, general layout, architectural design, terrain transformation and water system design. Through the analysis, these sports park always selected the site of traffic roads accessible and convenient traffic area, in the field of overall layout, these parks always considered both the geographical environment and the human condition, in the field of architectural design, the park took more artistic treatment method, and organicly unioned the sports building and park overall environment, in addition, in the field of topographical reform and water system design, these parks used special treatment way to rich park landscape, especially it is worth to reference Beijing Olympic Park in water system treatment for adopting advanced ecological treatment method. Based on these characteristics analysis, We summarized the City Sports Park planning principles of sustainability, extensibility, openness, humanity, culture, ecology and diversity.Taking Hangzhou North Sports Park as an example, the paper summarizes its design of space layout, plant, road and water system. In space layout design, according to the different needs and behavior characteristics of people, space is divided to meet needs of different activities for spatial classification. And also the two elements of" Sports" and" Park" should permeate each other. In the point of plant design, the paper points out that we should select local plants, and consider the application of the healthcare plants. The paper also points out that different area should have different plant distribution mode. In the field of road design, the paper points out the road grading method, parking space allocation as well as the ecological, humanistic treatment method in road system. In respect of water system design, the paper points out that due to the special property of city sports park, it should be set with a certain scale and complete surface of the water, meanwhile the paper puts forward the ecological way of water treatment. The paper also points out how to integrate the landscape and function of water.On this basis, the paper shows that city sports park has extensibility features, city sports park in the city not only can be used as a place of physical and mental health of residents, but also to be a effective carrier for creating a city emerging areas. The author also points out that in today’s social status, the sports park under city planning should extend from the narrow category to a more extensive denotation, i.e. the sports leisure park.
