With the rapid development of the society and the enhancement of people’s living standards, diets not only serve as a means to solve the food problem. More and more consumers hope to experience the environment atmosphere and cultural implications of food culture after having enough to eat. Under this circumstance, theme restaurants emerge as times require. Compared to the common restaurants, theme restaurants aim at attracting particular consumer groups, providing not only food, but also service related to one special type of culture. Dining environment with obvious thematic features, one important link of the whole service, meets the "experiencing" needs of the contemporary customers. Therefore, the meaning of "theme" plays a vital role. Even though theme restaurants flourish in the dining market after emerging, there have been some disadvantages in the process of management, such as the lack of the theme meaning, the separation of dining environment and theme culture, difficulty to recognize the decorations and so on. Islamic culture is extensive and profound with distinct characteristics, whose decoration culture displays special cultural charm. However, the business models of most existing Islamic restaurants are conventional and outdated, though a relatively complete model has been formed. As an emerging dining business model, theme restaurants can gain more popularity, attract more customers, provide distinct cultural experience, and at the same time upgrade the management quality and service standards of the dining industry. Therefore, the emergence of the dining space featured by Islamic decoration culture meets the changing need of the society and popularizes its culture, which satisfies both sides.First of all, the paper introduces the innovative effects of the dining space featured by Islamic decoration culture on the whole consumer market and examples are given to illustrate the research status. Secondly, the theoretical foundation has been laid for discussing the role the decoration culture has played in theme restaurants and examples are given to foreshadow the following part. Moreover, the paper explains the application of Islamic culture in the theme dining space, based on the analysis in the preceding part. Finally, expectations are put forward. The research result would contribute to the perfection of design concepts of the theme dining space featured by the Islamic decoration culture in theory, and provide some guidance of reference value for the design of domestic theme restaurants and the Islamic decoration culture research.
