As the key components of automobile clutch, Diaphragm spring’s mechanical properties and fatigue life directly affect the overall performance of the clutch. Clutch’s pressing force, Separating force and fatigue life are closely related with the diaphragm spring. The researches of diaphragm spring’s mechanical properties and fatigue life have engineering significance for the design and optimization of clutch structure.In this paper, diaphragm spring parametric modeling was building in ANSYS, the finite element method was applied to calculate the load-deformation characteristic curve and stress-deformation curve of the diaphragm spring, and study the important structural parameters on the load-deformation characteristic curve.Clutch work, research stress at the engagement and disengagement conditions of diaphragm spring, based on nominal stress method, material S-N curve was modify, and fatigue life values was further calculated. Three additional diaphragm spring was calculated the two stresses and the fatigue life which was verified by experiments.The important structural parameters were selected; the single factors of the fatigue life were further studied by Sensitivity analysis method, based on the fatigue life analysis of diaphragm spring. The order of fatigue life was obtained. Finally, clutch structure was optimized. |
