The purpose of this paper is to research the impact of the production process shot-peening and forced strengthening on the load deformation characteristics. Finally, found a new calculation formula and a new method to reduce the deviation of the diaphragm spring between experimental load value and design value.Subject relies on a domestic professional manufacturer of clutch. First, under the conditions of existing production equipment developed the reinforcement process specification, in accordance with the process sequence designed the relevant experiment which is about the influence of strengthen processing on diaphragm spring load deformation characteristics. Secondly, through the analysis of experimental data, analyzed the how the process of shot-peening> forced strengthening influence the outer fulcrum load characteristics of the diaphragm spring. Contrasted the experiment load curve of diaphragm spring in three process stages and the theoretical A-L load curve. The three process stages include the stage after quenching> after shot-peening and after force strengthen. And analyzed the possible reason who causes those errors. After that, proposed a new scheme to amend A-L formula. Based on test data, A-L formula was amended by dividing into three stages which in accordance with the same process sequence, adding A, B, C, K four correction coefficient in the formula. Synthetically considering the impact of structural differences, shot-peening, forced strengthening and other factors on the load characteristics, ultimately deduced a new formula for computing the diaphragm spring load-deformation curve. Simultaneously, the correctness of the correction formula was verified by using other models of the diaphragm spring. At the same time, by using VB language wrote the A-L correction formula calculating program, providing a more effective and convenient guidance for diaphragm spring mechanical properties design.Further, detected the tangential and radial residual stress of diaphragm spring before and after the shot peening, forced strengthen treatment. Analyzed of the residual stress field distribution of the diaphragm spring up and down surface. Built a relationship between the material model and the residual stress field after enhanced treatment. Then with the aid of commonly used finite element software to calculate the load-deformation relations, the simulation results are consistent with the experimental values.
