| The clutch is an important component in the transmission of a car, whose main function is to guarantee the smooth start of the car and steady run when the transmission has a gear change. Among various clutches, the work demand is almost all met through separation and connection of the driving disc and driven disc. Due to the unique nonlinear characteristic, simple structure and stable operation, the diaphragm spring clutch has wide applications. So, taking automobile-used clutch diaphragm spring as the goal, this article mainly accomplishes the research on the optimal design of its mechanical properties.Based on relevant data of one domestic clutch diaphragm spring, on the premise of meeting working performance, the optimal design utilizes the modeling method of mathematics, and takes the minimum spring stress as the goal function. Through confirming the corresponding restraint conditions, the corresponding mathematical model has been established, which is then optimized by MATLAB software.Design uses PRO/E software to analyze the board shell model and the solid model, so as to calculate compaction strength– distortion characteristic curve and compare with the theoretical results to analyze the causes of differences. Also, the reason why Almen-Laszlo formula still has wide use in design practice has been pointed out. |
