It is the clutch as an independent and important part in vehicle driveline system that effects power transmission decreasing the vibration of transmission, and overload protection, etc. The quality of it would directly affect the performance of the vehicle itself. We put forward a new hydraulic clutch which we can get the hydraulic clutch through the structural transformation of hydraulic pump that transmit the support forces through the variable of the volume. On the one hand, hydraulic clutch transmits the power through high-pressure oil wedge pressure effect, on the other hand, hydraulic clutch transmits the power with the liquid viscous force. Hydraulic oil acts as an important power transmitting medium, which can highly reduce the hydraulic impact and power transmission process will be smoother when the hydraulic clutch is combining. At the same time, the hydraulic cultch fills with sealed oil, which can help all the moving elements get sufficient lubrication and minimal wear. This thesis designs the basic structure, the working principle and the load-bearing mechanism. We also get the various components of the hydraulic clutch. Then we establish three-dimensional model of the hydraulic clutch, we analysis the drive member and leaves through theory and simulation to several aspects such as stress, strain, modal, and the flow field of the inner oil wedge. At last we optimized the main parts and we compared the optimization model with the designed model to get the final conclusion.Through the theoretical analysis and the simulation studies, we draw a conclusion that hydraulic clutch can meet the requirements of the vehicle clutch needs. So the methods and the research contents of this thesis provides a theoretical basis for the hydraulic clutch design and follow-up study.
