Now, the applications of permanent magnetic DC motor in industrial production,agricultural production, military equipment and aerospace is growing very fast every day.It is becoming more and more important to ensure safe and stable operation of the motor.The on-line monitoring and analyzing technology of the running state of the motor is doneto promise the safety of the motor. The detection before fault can prevent the motor anddecrease the loss caused by the occurrence of major accidents. It is of important practicalsignificance and application value.Traditional diagnosis technology of fault requires a lot of expert experiences and cannot meet the on-line detection of motor faults. It’s efficiency is low. The method for rapiddiagnosis based on the analysis of several motor signals (information fusion method) isstudied. The test and fault diagnose system of permanent magnetic DC motor is set up.The main research work is as follows:The software and hardware design. The noise detection hardware system consists of asound sensor (external microphone) and computer with sound card; the data acquisitionsystem of current and vibration signal is composed of USB5935data acquisition card,vibration acceleration sensor, the sampling resistor and a connecting terminal. Thesoftware is designed using the different function modular of LabVIEW.The motor fault is simulated based on Ansoft. By comparison with the experimentalresults, the correlation analysis method is corrective and effective.Finally, the inter-turn short circuit fault of PM motor is analyzed. The combination ofthe time domain analysis, frequency domain analysis and correlation analysis of the motorarmature current, noise and vibration signal verify the feasibility of the system.The simulation analysis and test results shows that the test and analysis systemconstructed by the data acquisition card, sensor and information fusion and LabVIEWsoftware technology, can realize the fault diagnosis of permanent magnetic DC motorquickly and simply, such as inter-turn short circuit fault.
