With the problem of the environmental pollution and the energy crisis becomingmore and more serious, the development of electrical energy derived from renewableenergy has become an inevitable trend.At the same time, drawbacks and limitations ofultra-large-scale power system is becoming increasingly apparent. The grid’s vulnerabilityhas been fully exposed. So the distributed generation technologies based on renewableenergy has been a rapid development. permanent magnet direct drive wind power systemusing permanent magnet synchronous motor generator makes the structure of the systemsimple, reliability high and cost low.A variety of renewable energy generation inmicro-grid and users’ new load needs to be transformed through the power electronicsinterface, FACTS is the the application of the electronic technology in the powergrid.Wind power generation system requirements a strong control ability, the progress ofwind power generation technology in the very great degree reflected for the application offlexible power technology. FACTS can control reactive power and active power of thesystem,it can adjust the power factor, improve power quality and make the operation ofdistribution network more economic, flexible and reliable.FACTS can effectively improve the stability of power system. STATCOM is chosenas the wind power system of reactive power compensation unit.In this paper, the diode clamp topology of three-level is used as the main circuitstructure for the STATCOM grid-connected converter. The stable operation of the ACmicro-grid is used as a starting point and the basic structure of the dc side of the auxiliarysupport of rectifier unit and dc chopper circuit design are analyzed. Based on the speedcontrol system of grid connected direct-drive wind permanent magnet synchronousgenerators, it is proposed and built up that boost chopper generating equivalent as themodel of DC generator. Analyzing the dynamic process of the boost chopper generatingequivalent as DC generator, it reveals the relationships between intrinsic variables.According to the principle of maximal wind energy tracking, the paper reveals the controlmechanism of maximum wind power tracking of the wind generators. A theoretical basisis provided for the realization of the control of the wind power maximum wind energytracking. At the same time, it introduced the application of STATCOM in wind farm aboutreactive power compensation. This paper proposed a new control method based on themulti-agent of AC micro-grid. This study has a strong forward-looking in the DC micro-network applications and some guidance for future exploration. Finally, I designedthe main circuit of the hardware of the STATCOM grid-connected inverter and debuggedthe wind and inverter control experiment and the experimental results indicate that thisstudy the development of wind and inverter can make the AC microgrid achieve stableoperation.
