With the quick development of aviation industry in our country, the reliability ofaircraft has received increased attention from people. Reliability of an aircraft, alsoknown as the survival Probability, is an important standard of the aircraft and is used tomeasure the performance of an aircraft. It is also a critical factor in determining theeffectiveness of the aircraft. The reliability of aircraft is determined by the reliability ofthe components which compose aircraft. The components of aircraft become more andmore. The flying environments are complicated. The improvement of reliability ofaircraft is determined by the above. With the improvement of reliability of aircraft, theeffectiveness and quality of aircraft can be improved.Based on the data from monitor data of system and components of R aircrafts, thisthesis provides a study of the application of reliability in the area of maintenanceengineering of aircrafts, some particular criteria on data were drawn; Based on theanalysis of lifetime distribution and reliability of system and some typical componentsof R aircraft, the lifetime distribution is evaluated and determined by the testing ofhypotheses. Reliability indices are calculated by the relative computational methodsusing the result of the lifetime distribution. Based on the figure of reliability, themethods and principles of determining maintenance mode of engine are drawn. The dataprocessing of the engine provide the evidence for four suitable maintenance modes. Thestudy of reliability of engine is made. The first overhaul life of engine is determined byanalysis of engine, the advices for improving reliability and amending of maintenancemode are proposed. Some suggestions are proposed for improvement of reliability ofengine with experience of using. Some studies of reliability management are made.
