In the morden campus,even in the age of the internet,a student doesn’t have any closefriend,or the relationship with teachers is only official after the class is over and graduationmay happen.this result is unsatisfactory which means an important part of the educationalexperience is missing.The relation between “teaching” and “learning” has been redefined because of change ofteaching paradigm, mainstreaming of multi-disciplinary structure reform, renovation ofscience and technology, the diversity of students and teachers as well as environmentalawareness. Educators have reached a general consensus: knowledge is not passed to thestudents, but the students build. Learning is a social process to produce a meaningfulexperience positive interactions with others. Campus should be the place of "manufacturinglearning". The significance of the traditional teaching building is weakened, a variety ofinformal learning space models continue to be tried. In this context,the relationship between“learning” and “living” should be repositioned and thought of.the design of living-learningenvironment with purpose and construction of student community is crucial to the learninglife of student.How to deal with “living-learning” integration in campus of Guang Zhou is the mainpoint of this research.The paper is divided into five parts:The first part analyses the context of living-learning community, involving relatedconcept, defines the related theory study at home and abroad are reviewed, and generalsituation, and puts forward the research method, thought and framework.The second part analyses the changement of the relationship between living and learningas campus planning in China and abroad developed.Then research the case of living-learningcommunity abroad.The analysis can show the necessarity to construct living-learingcommunity in modern campus and point how to develop “living-learning” integration incampus of Guang Zhou in this trend of developing “living-learning” integration all over theworld is the first problem to deal with in this paper.The third part investigates and analyses the present situation of student settlements in campus of Guang Zhou and student’s satisfaction and response to that by the way of surveyand interview.The forth part clear about the true psychological and physiological need of student byresearch the psychological and physiological “living and learning” activities.This can makesure the construction of living-learning community fully think about the student.The fifth part elaborates the theory and construction of living and learning community ofcampus in Guang Zhou and point the process of construction is progressive and step-by-stepimplemente.Then analys different planning of living-learning community in different kinds ofcampus in Guang Zhou from several parts such as space model and functionalconfiguration,and put forward the steps of construction.
