Research And Simulation Of Big Aircraft’s Communication Addressing And Reporting System

Aircraft communication addressing and reporting system (ACARS) is anair-ground data link system that mostly adopted in civil aviation electronics realm. It isa kind of low-speed digital data link system, now mostly using VHF to transport shortmessages, can be used in air traffic control management and air transportation and so on.This data link system is widely used in the foreign civil aviation because it has theadvantage of far function distance and the plentiful contents of messages and so on. Forrecent years, with the development of domestic big airplane, integrating domestic bigairplane with the world markets has become the inevitable requirement, therefore,installing ACARS to new avionics suite becomes more and more necessary. In thisthesis, how to use simulation technology and automatic testing technology on thedesigning and finishing of constructing the intelligent simulation system for bigaircraft’s communications addressing and reporting system has been researched. Thisintelligent simulation system can be used on the designing, testing and verifying ofinstalling ACARS to integrated modular avionics system. Then the way of producingand installing ACARS is improved, that will reduce the cost of producing and installingACARS and improve the verifying efficiency. The main results are: investigating thestructure and protocol of ACARS; investigating simulation technology and automatictesting technology; carrying on the demand analysis for subject, based on the previousresearch; designing the simulation of big aircraft’s communications addressing andreporting system, at the same time, advancing the automatic testing design based onrequirements, according to the automatic testing technology; after designing hardwareand software in detail, accomplishing the simulation and automatic testing system of bigaircraft’s communications addressing and reporting system and systemically testing andverifying it.
