As a general time domain test instrument, Digital Storage Oscilloscope has beenwidely used in various fields, which has more advantages than analog oscilloscope andis gradually replacing analog oscilloscope. With the development of Digital StorageOscilloscope, the display and control system is becoming more and more important forthat it directly affects the quality of Digital Storage Oscilloscope.This thesis mainly focuses on the designs of display system and control system,based on the project “2GSPS Digital Storage Oscilloscope”, and discusses the systemarchitecture, including display system and control system. The single memory modedisplay system and the control system architecture are proposed. The main contributionsare as follows:1. The design of display system. A single memory mode display system isproposed in this thesis, which adopts FPGA+SRAM+LCD architecture and uses asingle SRAM to update the waveform image. Compared with ping-pong mode displaysystem, the single memory mode display system has obvious advantages, which notonly streamlines the system architecture and reduces the design cost, but also simplifiesthe operation process.2. The design of control system. A control system is proposed in this thesis, whichadopts DSP+FPGA architecture. DSP receives control commands from the keyboardand then sends them to FPGA, which would be executed by the control modules at last.This thesis focuses on the designs of the channel control module, time base adjustmentmodule, trigger control module and communication interface module, and eachmodule’s functions and features are introduced.3. System debugging and verification. After completing the design of display andcontrol system, we debuged and verified the designed system, and circuit debuggingand logic module verification was carried out. We achieved the functions and indicatorsof display and control system successfully.
