Trigger and Time Inter-plug Circuit is an important module in the random sample Digital Storage Oscillope (DSO). The Trigger Circuit plays important role in DSO.It gives a zero time reference for the horizontal scan circuit, and so it can makes the waveform displayed on the screen steadily. Time Inter-plug circuit is the key module of random sample DSO. It can improve the equivalent sample rate and horizontal time discrimination of DSO efficiently. The dissertation focuses on the subject of design the High Speed Trigger and Time Inter-plug Circuit and verify its function. The dissertation consists of two parts. The first part illustrates the function, principle, and realization of the High Speed Trigger and Time Inter-plug Circuit. The second part introduces the function and design of the auxiliary circuit designed for the module in detail, gives the whole system debug results and analyses the experiment data. The second chapter of this dissertation illustrates the function of the Trigger Circuit., and gives the methods on how to design and realize it. The third, fourth and fifth chapter explicates the working theorum and design of the Time Inter-plug Circuit. The third chapter introduces the two general methods to improve the equivalent sample rate of DSO, and illustrates the principle and circuit design on how to generate the Inter-plug Time. The fourth and fifth chapter demonstrates two methods——Dual Slope Integral Time Extend method and Time –Voltage Convert method to measure the Inter-plug Time., and also illustrates the theory rationale of the two methods and how to design the circuit in detail. The second part of this dissertation introduces the function and design of the auxiliary circuits designed to debug the module. It contains Clock circuit, A/D convert circuit, FPGA and PCI Bus interface circuit. The eighth chapter offers the waveforms and data got during debugging the experiment system, makes error analysis, and finds the reasons that cause error. And some feasible solutions to improve the performance of the circuits are offered as well. The last chapter discusses the general problems that should be noted in high speed PCB design, and tells some measures taken in this PCB design.
