It should have targeted to implement parallel way of protection and transformation so as to make the traditional blocks historical, modern, also ancient and energy-saving ecological.Thus, this thesis responses to this situation, based on the temperate regions of the old building (in Kunming civilized blocks, for example), with a history of ecological field of vision and sustainable development, review those old building protection and all kinds of related factors. At the same time, It is important to do the classification research of the old buildings in Kunming area and have a comprehensive assessment of preserved present and area feature. According to the different types of old buildings and puts forward relevant protection or the transformation strategy and measures. Especially it is more important to carry on the analysis test to the Kunming area climate as well as the old construction microclimate, analyze its advantages and disadvantages, then provide technical support. The above research, test and analysis, taking the old buildings of the civilized blocks for example, we propose protective and ecological reconstructive strategy and technical measures of the various types of old buildings of the historic districts of Kunming and even temperate regions of historical location. It provides reference for the old building preservation, continuity, development and the ecological energy-saving improvement of the old buildings in traditional blocks, temperate regions and historical location.
