With the rapid development of the global economy, the continuous shortage oftraditional fossil energy, the proportion of renewable energy continuously improved in thepower industry. Wind/PV hybrid power system is an important form of renewable powersupply system which take full advantage of the complementarity of wind and solar at time. Inthis context, the research on control of the Wind/PV hybrid power system can be a morerational use of wind and solar energy resources.The research of control of Wind/PV hybrid generation system is mainly studied. Firstly,according to the four weather conditions: windy and sunlight, windy and no sun, no wind andsunshine, no wind and no sun, dividing Wind/PV hybrid generation system into fouroperating modes, and researching the control of wind power subsystem and photovoltaicpower generation subsystem. The variable pitch fan and monocrystalline silicon photovoltaiccells are used as the research object. According to the characteristics of system such asmulti-variable, non-linear, time-varying, fuzzy adaptive control algorithm is applied to thepower tracking control of wind turbine and photovoltaic cells, RBF (Radical Basis Funcation)neural network based on ant colony algorithm is used to the MPPT (maximum power pointtracking) control of photovoltaic cells.The coordination control of the wind electricity and light supplementary generationsystem is researched based on the demonstration project of the wind electricity and lightsupplementary generation combined to the grid in Changma, Yumen. The hierarchical controlstructure is used to divide the system into two levels. The superior level is the powercoordination controller and the junior level includes two subsystems. Then building objectivefunction according to grid efficiency and smoothness of output power, using ideal pointmethod which is one of multi-layered decision-making techniques to optimize the objectivefunction which to coordinate the power of the two subsystems.Hierarchical control method, which is based on NSGA-ⅡAlgorithm (FastNon-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm with Elitism Strategy) could be applied tocoordinated control. NSGA-ⅡAlgorithm is used to accomplish the coordinated control on thegeneration power of the subsystem by the multi-objective optimization. The coordinatedcontrol optimization results were compared with the results of ideal point method to drawoptimal control method.The simulation model of the power of the wind electricity and light supplementarygeneration system is established on the Matlab/Simulink to realize the simulation analysistowards the power control of wind fan, the given power control of Photovoltaic cell, the maxpower trace control and the coordination control of wind electricity and solar power supplementary generation systems. The results show that the control method of windelectricity and solar power supplementary generation systems is feasible.
