As a developing trend of the Electrical Vehicle (EV),most automobile manufactoriesutilize the power lithium-ion battery as the central power source of EV. Due to theconstraint of costs and capacity of the battery, it’s quite inappropriate to using the powerlithium-ion battery directly while they testing the electrical motor for EVs, therefore,researching in develop a battery simulation system for electrical motor drive testingplatform has a great value in applications. This dissertation focus on the design andimplement of the system, including research in control methodology, implement of spacevector, designing both hardware and software and developing a battery simulation system.Through research in modeling of power lithium-ion battery, put forward an amelioratedequivalent circuit battery model, extract parameters of the model and developed amathematic model which has been attested in Matlab/Simulink simulation. To achieve therequirements of the design, a IPM module has been selected as the power component, atthe mean time, drive of the module is improved to reach smaller bulk and strongeranti-jamming capability.The dissertation is divided into two parts which are the front PWM commutation andrear Bidirection-DC/DC. As to the front part, it has been pretty much studied so thecalculations of some critical parameters are given directly and focus on introducing thedesign of rear circuits. As for software flow, it initiates all the control parameters and theDSP, then processing each module in the interrupt service function. Major problemsencountered in designing both hardware and software and solutions for them had beenrecorded.The theory, derivation and engineering implement method of SVPWM are explicitlydescribed which are helpful for elementary learners. Coding of SVPWM and SPWM wasaccomplished, and had been tested for contrast through experiment. Model of powerlithium-ion battery is complex, to implement the relevant parameters in Pointing DSPrequires redundant calculation, to solve that the simplification of the mathematic model hasbeen applied and designed a control strategy to maintain maximum accuracy. Developed abattery simulation system for testing platform with witch some experiments has been done and analyzed the waveform of it. The reliability and feasibility of the system has beenattested.
