Research On Changzhi City Residential Area Planning Stratagies Based On The Concept Of Low-carbon

During the past century, the earth has been experiencing a significant climate change that predominated by global warming. Nowadays, this change becomes one of the environmental problems that have most profound impacts as it occurred unexpectedly in both activity and intensity. The acceleration of urbanization and urban development are principle causes for environmental changing and the huge energy consumption of both manufacturing and people’s daily life causes large carbon emission. However, low carbon community is not only the core part of urban planning, but also a vital step of improving sustainable urban development.This paper states from the study of low carbon designing as the beginning. Based on low carbon building theory and ecological theory, adopting a carbon emission reduction thought of "from theory study to detail analyse, from practical survey to make proposal". Firstly, this paper summarises and compares low carbon community theories and study achievements from both domestic and abroad, stating on the study background, significance, content and study methods. Secondly, the planning method and designing thought and strategies on low carbon communities in Changzhi are discovered by literature reviewing, in-situ investigation, methods of induction and analogue. Also, the current situation, future planning trend and typical communities are analysed and it summarises the domestic and foreign design experiences of low carbon community, exploring the best way of building low carbon community that fits Changzhi. At the end, the main problems in the low carbon community development in Changzhi are declared based on the features of geographic and climate situation, consists of energy consumption in community, low carbon design method, developing situation, current layout situation, landscape planning and the adoption of low carbon technology. Energy saving countermeasures that fit the designs of low carbon communities in Changzhi are proposed by the analytical means of data statistics and theory research.Besides, the main opinion is concluded at the end of the paper and some instructions and suggestions are offered. It might have certain help for future study on the built of low carbon community.
