Drive axle housing is an important component of the suspension in the rear of thevehicle, the force is very complex, and the use of high frequency components are veryprone to failure. Vehicle was subject to random load due to road roughness, cause the axlehousing to fatigue failure, so the production quality and performance of the axle housingwill directly affect the life of the vehicle and vehicle performance. And the structure of thedrive axle housing must have sufficient strength, rigidity and fatigue life. In this paper, amicro car drive axle housing as the object of study, combined with the finite elementmethod and dynamics simulation of its structural analysis, to improve its structure based onthe analysis results, in order to achieve improvement axle housing force status, raise theaxle housing fatigue life purposes.According to the theory of the finite element method, to build finite element analysismodel of a micro-car drive axle housing in the first. Determine the force of the axlehousing several typical conditions through access to relevant literature, theoreticalcalculations, and various conditions by the force of the axle housing. Then by this inputconditions, the use of large-scale finite element software Hyperworks finite elementanalysis on the axle housing. According to the results obtained, and the relevant nationalstandards, to check the strength of the axle housing.
