China automotive manual transmission design, manufacture, quality control, teststandards and supporting resources are already quite mature, automatic mechanicaltransmission (AMT) is in the manual transmission (MT) on the basis of increasing clutchand shift actuator with a chosen, the development of AMT technology easy to implement.Although hydraulic mechanical automatic transmission (AT) technology is mature,shifting comfort is good, but China’s current industrial base, it is hard to meet AT thehigh technology, high investment requirements. Therefore, the development of AMT isthe development of China automobile automatic transmission technology is abreakthrough point. In design and development of automated mechanical transmission,clutch actuator design and optimization is one of the important and difficult of AMTdesign, its performance directly affect the performance of AMT system. This articlerelying on Wuhan TSung auto electronics co., LTD."electrical control pneumatic clutchactuator development" project, the development of the key components to develop AMTclutch actuator design and performance study, this paper main work content is as follows:1.In this paper, the category and the technical status quo of the automatictransmission, clutch actuator types and their respective advantages and disadvantages.2.According to the electronically controlled pneumatic AMT clutch actuator systemfunctional requirements, designed and developed an electrical control pneumatic AMTclutch booster cylinder.3.The pneumatic electromagnetic valve has carried on the research and developmentat a high speed. First, using the SimulationX simulation software simulates the dynamiccharacteristics of a solenoid valve, from the simulation results can be more direct in theobservation of dynamic characteristics of solenoid valve at each stage. Then from twoaspects of coil of electromagnetic force and the driving circuit is studied, theelectromagnetic valve shape, the diameter of the valve core, valve core work air gap andthe relative position, the initial air gap, coil, coil number of ampere turns, drive circuit inan optimization scheme is proposed. Finally using Ansoft Maxwell’s electromagnetic characteristics of the optimized electromagnetic valve has carried on the simulation.4. Set the electronically controlled pneumatic AMT clutch actuator bench, the benchtest, and experimental study show that the clutch actuator is to satisfy the clutch time fastseparation control within0.3s to0.4s; The slowest clutch/joint time to render certaindifference; Solenoid valve controlled duty ratio range as wide as possible performancerequirements.
