After entering Shanhaiguan, Qing dynasty had built Qing East Mausoleum in HebeiZunhua and Qing West Mausoleum in Hebei Yixian, their construction had been throughouthistory of the Qing dynasty. Mausoleum building of the Qing dynasty inherited and absorbedall the traditional style and techniques,at the same time, embodied the Qing dynasty’spolitical thought, moral, aesthetic temperament and interest. Therefore, Mausoleum buildingof the Qing dynasty forms the highest peak of Chinese ancient mausoleum building.This paper has taken mausoleum building of Qing dynasty after entering Shanhaiguan asthe research object. Through the analysis on mausoleum building, the paper has discussed itsdevelopment and evolution, summarized the different types of architectural form,architectural features and artistic achievement, then analyzed the construction conceptsreflected in the Qing dynasty mausoleum. This paper has conducted the research mainly fromthree aspects.First of all, this paper has discussed overall layout and formation of East Mausoleumand West Mausoleum. From the location of Xiao Ling Mausoleum and Tai Mausoleum,Zhaomu burying system that was established by Qianlong, the paper has analyzed siteselection principles and influencing factors: ancient Feng Shui, Zhaomu burying principle,the feudal monarch’s personal will, and other factors: political, historical and cultural reasons.In the second place, on the basis of analyzing the researches on the types of Qingmausoleum, the paper has summed up four mausoleum types: first mausoleum type, generalemperor mausoleum type, variant type and returning types, and then discussed the features offour types respectively.Finally, the paper has discussed Qing dynasty mausoleum building architectural features,artistic achievement, and building concepts.
