With the rapid development of society, the existing traditional energy and resourcesare in the rapid consumption, but also caused great damage to the environment. In order toalleviate the energy crisis, countries give strong support in the development and utilizationof new energy. The development and utilization of new energy is of great significance tosustainable development of human society and the environment.In the course of the study of new energy, ocean energy has become the focus ofresearch scholars. The main content of this paper is to study the affect of the float structurethe size of wave energy absorption efficiency.In this paper, will use the CFD software of Flow-3D software, simulation of themovement of the float in waves, according to the results of the simulation analysis processof waves on the float role, summed up the rules and characteristics of the waves in theinteraction with the float reference for the design of the float in the actual design.Oscillation float-type wave power generation device by the multiple effects of waveenergy absorption efficiency, wherein, float on the wave energy absorption efficiency is themost fundamental of installed power generation efficiency. In the course of the study, thefloat which is going to the simulation be divided into three groups:1、Different kinds of floats with the same drainage volume.2、Capture of the width is same, and the same shape but different drainage volume of thefloat.3、The state of the float in the case of different motion restriction condition.Analysis and comparison of simulation results:1、When the drainage volume is same, the vertical cylindrical float output power andenergy absorption efficiency is the highest.2、With the increase of the draft depth, float free oscillation frequency decreases.3、Under different conditions of the apparatus, the effect of the column is very small, thekinetic energy of free-floating float greater than the kinetic energy of one-waymovement.By simulation analysis concluded, when design a float of the Oscillating Buoy WavePower Device, should be based on wave conditions, and select the appropriate float,improve the energy absorption efficiency of the float.
