High temperature air combustion (HTAC) is a new type of combustion technology inthe1990s, It can recovery exhaust heat in flue gas and reduce the pollutant NOXemissions.It has the vital significance for intensive study HATC in thermal characteristics of industrialfurnace to realize HATC technical theory and application.In the energy crisis today, all countries in the world to realize intensive study HTAC isvery necessary. In our country, HTAC has developed for30years, And has made greatprogress in the theory and the application, But we have to admit the understanding ofHTAC still has some problems, Especially for design regenerative industrial furnace mainlydepend on experience, Based on this, The author set up3D regenerative industrial furnacemodel according to a factory of Fushun, to study internal flow, combustion and heattransfer process of the furnace. The principal contents of this article are summarized asfollows:(1) Firstly introduces the development, advantage and application of HATC, Secondlyintroduces regenerative chamber and the heat exchange theory, Thirdly introduces themathematical model of numerical simulation and the influence factors of NOXformation,Finally, the CFD software gives a large number of visual information of the furnace internalflow, combustion characteristics to understanding of the HATC deep is meaningful.(2) Use CFD software reasonable simplified the regenerative industrial furnace ofFushun’s factory, and Build a3d physical model, Using CFD software to simulate thedifferent condition of the industrial furnace, Got the regenerative industrial furnace internalflow field, temperature field and NOXdistribution.etc. The results of the study show that:1)regenerative burner entrance angle should not be too big, had better between10°and20°;2)when the air pressure is too great, temperature of industrial furnace rise is not obvious,however, pollutant amount of NOXis greatly increased.Through the numerical simulation technology research different conditions ofregenerative industrial furnace internal flow, combustion process, find the rule ofregenerative industrial furnace internal flow field, temperature field and concentration fieldand pollutant NOXdistribution, the simulation results can be used as reference whendesign or development a regenerative industrial furnace.
