With the increase of vehicles and the intensify of overload phenomenon,the rut hasbecome the main form of asphalt pavement,which have a serious impact on ride comfortand road comfort.Therefor,it is necessary to research the rutting of asphalt pavement inorder to improve and control this phenomenon.This article describes the mechanical properties of the asphalt mixture,analyse andcompare domestic and foreign scholars proposed asphalt mixture constitutive modelbased on the theory of the mechanics of viscoelastic plasticity.this paper translateviscoelastic parameters into the Prony series though fitting the parameters of theBurgers model with creep test data and analyse the cause of deviation between the dataof fitting and test and the date computing by ANSYS with the use of finite elementsoftware ANSYS;Three-dimensional finite element model is established to analyse therut deformation of the grass-roots level and asphalt pavement surface,the regularity ofits dynamic Stress and strain when the vehicle run with the speed of80km/h in asphaltpavement,the law of the grassroots and layer′s internal forces under different drivingspeed;A two-dimensional finite element model of asphalt pavement is created toresearch the impact of the number of axle load, vehicle speed and overloading on therutting and analyse the law of asphalt pavement rutting deformation under different axleload, vehicle speed and overloading by transforming the dynamic load into a staticload.It is indicated that the small deviation between the data of fitting and test and thedate computing by ANSYS show the accuracy of conversion formula Prony series.Thecompressive stress,transverse tensile stress and the horizontal tensile stress of surfacelayer reduce with the improvement of the speed of traffic.The compressive stressdecrease the rate of about8%a,the transverse tensile stress and the horizontal tensilestress do about9.2%when the speed increased from60km/h to140km/h.Theanti-tutting performance of modified asphalt mixture is37%higher than the baseasphalt mixture.The vertical displacement calculation based on finite element methodprovide a new way of method and approach for asphalt pavement rutting prediction.
