China,especially Xinjiang, is a country or region with wide snow distribution,spring flood and snow disaster frequently-occurring. Under the background of globalwarming,every spring melt season the snowmelt floods in xinjiang occur frequently.particular glacier and snowmelt floods. Snowmelt floods in xinjiang makes themountains along the river highway waterlogging phenomenon is very serious, in thecase of light which will cause the destruction of highway and its facilities, influencethe traffic safety in the case of light; In severe cases which will directly breakdisrupted traffic, to the people of life and property security caused heavy losses, makepeople’s life and production is affected by the serious. Therefore it is very importantand meaningful for the research characteristic of snowmelt flood, estimate thesnowmelt flood peak flow, discusses such disaster forecast and early warning, thexinjiang region of snowmelt flood disaster prevention and mitigation work, androadbed along the river in the vertical and horizontal currents meet scouring theoryand control technology researchs.In this paper, the xinjiang spring snowmelt flood formation mechanism,influencing factors and characteristics of road waterlogging caused by a simple reviewand summary, analysis and research area of snowmelt flood early information such astemperature, rainfall, snow, estimation of small watershed within the maximumsnowmelt runoff in xinjiang. And use the hydrological and meteorological data, thispaper discusses the xinjiang region of snowmelt flood prediction indexes andprediction method, the snowmelt flood early warning and forecast is of greatsignificance, for the timely, efficient, accurate preventing snowmelt flooding workprovide favorable technical and information support.This article to Xinjiang mountainous area small watershed as the researchobject, on the basis of correctly estimate the maximum snowmelt runoff, the subgradestructure along the river in the vertical and horizontal flow characteristics of the flowin the vicinity of the junction scour mechanism and scour depth and scope of theinfluence factors are analyzed; Through the indoor model experiment, the twodirections of different flow rate, flow velocity, bed of river water depth, slope gradient,slope, road width and sediment conditions to simulate the subgrade scour along the river, and according to the test results, analysis of subgrade along the river in verticaland horizontal flow confluence calculation formula of maximum scour depth, anddiscuss the scouring scope; Respectively on the slope and roadbed wall set gradingTiKan, then scour comparison test and compare the antiscour effect; Integrated theexisting mountain road waterlogging prevention measures in xinjiang, from theperspective of engineering measures and non-engineering measures, relevantprotection engineering measures and Suggestions are discussed.This researchers of this paper will provide strong theoretical support andexperience guidance for Xinjiang snowmelt waterlogging disaster in mountain alongthe river and especially spring melt phase in the vertical and horizontal currents meetsubgrade of waterlogging and slope water directiy scour of subgrade prevention.This paper was sponsored by the science and technology project “The researvhon the road waterlogging treatment technology for snowmelt floods in Xinjiang” byXinjiang Transportation Department in the year of2012.
