Cable-stayed bridge plays a significant role in the realm of domestic constructingurban roadways,which is characterized by its particular structure as well as pass-overcapacity.As time goes on,an increasing number of bridges are confronted with structuraldamage caused by various reasons. Therefore,an essential part of understanding itscondition is to examine bridges comprehensively and regularly. According to therelevant theories in terms of bridge structure safety evaluations and cable-stayedcondition detection as well, this article analyze the impact of cable-stayed damages oncable tension, girder geometry, and internal forces and its varying pattern throughestablishing cable-stayed MIDAS/CIVIL entity models. Conclusions and binding assaysAHP theory, proposed urban cable-stayed bridge girder conditions index evaluation.Essential research contents are as followed:1. A brief introduction of the significance in terms of bridge condition evaluationand its status quo, which is followed by condition evaluation methodology and theoriesof some types of bridges.2. An analysis of the main effect and mechanical characteristics of bridge tower,girder, stay cable; an conclusion of the primary reasons that caused cable-stayeddamages; a summary main condition testing elements, approaches, contents and itsevaluation methodology.3. An analysis of the impact of cable-stayed damages on cable tension, girdergeometry, and internal forces through setting up the finite element model; a conclusionof its varying pattern and approach of evaluation so as to provide evidence of conditionexamination and maintenance.4. An analysis of the influence of cable-stayed temperature variation and girdertemperature gradient load on cable tension and internal forces, which offer evidence forits examination.5. Based on AHP theory of urban cable-stayed bridge condition evaluationmethod using gray relational analysis to evaluate the underlying index, the use of graycorrelation analysis model for the cable-stayed bridge condition assessment to explorethe underlying index, combined with the aforementioned damage and temperature loadson the cable-stayed cable tension with the main beam linear effects related conclusions,considering the cable-stayed segmented using different weights cable tension condition evaluation. Assessment methods for optimizing cable-stayed bridge and stay cableshave a certain reference value.
