The dynamics performance of straddle-type monorail vehicle (including the curvenegotiation performance, running stability and riding comfort) is an important index toevaluate the running quality of vehicle. It is related to the safety and comfort of theoperation of the vehicle.This article mainly analyzes the running mechanism ofmonorail vehicle, based on the theory of mechanical system dynamics, adopts thevirtual prototype technology, establishs the "vehicle-tire-rail beam" coupling dynamicsimulation model of the monorail vehicle single section or train; This article simulatesand analyzes the curve negotiation performance of monorail vehicle when it runs on thesmallest orbit radius. This article analyzes and evaluates the running stability and ridingcomfort of monorail vehicle when it runs on the straightway. The main content includethe following points.1.The parts and suspension devices in the monorail vehicle are Abstractedsimplified and equivalent to physical model, building the topology structure of vehicle;According to the kinetic parameters of monorail vehicle’s three kinds of tires and roadalignment parameters of rail beam, this article respectively creates the tire properties fileof the three kinds of tires and the road properties file of three kinds of driving roadwhich are used to simulate the rail beam by using UA tire model and randomdisturbance road which MD ADAMS provided; Mechanical system dynamics analysisand simulation software-MD ADAMS is adopted to establish the subsystem model ofwheel and rail coupling, bogie frame, car body and the central suspension device. Thenassembled those subsystem model into a single section "vehicle-tire-rail beam" couplingdynamic simulation model; Single section vehicle model as a subsystem model,establish train "vehicle-tire-rail beam" coupling dynamic simulation model.2.This article analyzes the curve negotiation performance (including the tire wearperformance, unti-derailment stability performance and unti-overturning stabilityperformance) of monorail vehicle from the vertical stiffness and lateral stiffness ofrunning wheel when the vehicle runs on the positive line smallest radius orbit. Throughthis analysis, we can obtain the best vertical stiffness and lateral stiffness of runningwheel when the vehicle achieves the best curve negotiation performance. By making ananalysis of the coupling force between straddle-type monorail train and sliding-type turnout, we can calculate the biggest transverse force of the connection bears betweenturnout beam and the trolley which supports the turnout and then provide reference datafor designing the dynamic load strength of the connection accurately.3.Referring to the evaluation standards of running stability and riding comfort ofautomobile and motorcycle, adopting the method of combinating simulation andexperiment, this article analyzes and evaluates the running stability and riding comfortof straddle-type monorail vehicle. The results of simulation and experiment all indicatethat the monorail vehicle have a good performance of running stability and ridingcomfort.
