Smart grid is the next generation of power grid which based on integrated,high-speed bidirectional communication network. It achieves the goal of build reliability,safety, economic, efficient, environmental friendly and use of the target of the safetypower grid through the comprehensive application of a variety of advanced technology,and with the highly integrated grid infrastructure. Smart grid will be dedicated toconvert the public energy network to a flexible, intelligent energy public facility. Thebasic of this promotion is aim to real-time controlling distribution of energy, providemore flexible billing method and other value added service, which is through real-timemonitoring the whole network state and related parties in the detail.The revolutionary in the operation and management mode of Smart grid also hasbrought new challenges for security, especially the users’ privacy protection. In theconsumers’ end, the traditional mechanical instrument is replaced by the smart meter.Energy network operators will periodically and high density collects users’ real-timeelectricity consumption data from users’ smart meter. This fine-grained consumptiondata is not only used for support the dynamic billing but also used to real-timemonitoring grid’s load. But users’ privacy and security would be threaten by thosefrequently consumption data. The attacker may obtain a user’s active state, regular lifeand living habits, privacy information by analysis and mining those data.This paper introduces the development of the smart grid at home and abroad, thesecurity problem about the smart grid and related solutions in detail. According to thedeficiency of them, this paper puts forward two schemes which can calculatefine-grained consumption data and billing dynamically based on group signature. Themain contributions of this paper are as follows:⑴Introduce of the concept of smart grid and analysis of the development of smartgrid at home and abroad. Analysis and summary the security threaten on smart grid,especially the disclosing of users’privacy, and related solutions.⑵We provide an overview and analysis of current work on smart grid users’privacy. There can be found that a little work has been done can not only collectfine-grained consumption data but also billing dynamically. Therefore we propose ascheme based on a batch validation group signature, which can satisfy collect frequentlyconsumption data and billing dynamic. This scheme solve the problem that how to preserves users’ privacy when realized the users’ real-time data and dynamic pricing,which utilize homomorphism cryptosystem and batch validation group signature.⑶In consideration of that the energy providers and service providers mayseparation in the future, we propose a new scheme that based on the previous scheme.This scheme, which adopts the homomorphism encryption algorithm and the shortgroup signature with controllable likability, can realize collect fine-grained consumptiondata and billing dynamically with separate the energy providers and service providers.
