| With the increasing severity of energy crisis and environmental pollution,the development and application of solar energy become one of more importantenergy subject in the world. The industry of solar cells appears explosive growthcurrently by the support of national policy and guidance, which results in a veryurgent need for the test and measurement solutions of solar cells. The effectiveimprovement of the test methods and the enhancement of the solar cells testingcapabilities, are the important aspects to promote the development and application ofthe solar cells.First, classification and composition of the solar test system was introduced.Then based on the test principles and system function of the solar cells, a test systemfor outdoor performance and parameters of solar cells was studied and designed. Thissystem includes hardware and software. The part of the hardware mainly accomplishthe design of solar cell stents, experimental console, temperature acquisition circuit,and the selection of total radiometer, dc electronic load, data acquisition card. Thesoftware is an application developed on the LabVIEW platform, through whichautomatic data collection is achieved. The system is not only able to test the V-Icharacteristics curve of monocrystalline, polycrystalline and amorphous solar cells atthe same time, but also can test the output characteristic of solar cells under theinfluence of the light incident angle, load types, shadow, temperature and otherfactors, it is innovative on comprehensive testing.Since the system was completed, a variety of tests have been conducted onmonocrystalline, polycrystalline and amorphous solar cells, The test results show thatthe system works stable and reliable. Data measuring unit has high accuracy andgood repeatability. Some relevant conclusions are drawn through data analysis. Forexample, illumination angle has a great impact on the power output of solar cells andshow a certain regularity, the load type almost has no effect on the output of solarcells, small area of shadow also has a great influence to the output of solar cell and the decrease of the power output is proportional to the shaded area, which wouldhave some values on installation and utilization of solar cells. |
